Seven stones, one paper.
Parcel 07 came out of a single sort: seven crystals of similar colour, pulled from the same run of ore. We did not cut them to match. Each was cut into the shape its crystal could best give.

Light return
Where the light goes.
A gem lab reads a cut by colouring every point of the stone by where its light comes from. Red is light gathered from high above. Green arrives at mid angles. Blue is low light, or your own head in the way. Black is light that fell out of the bottom. Move the lens across the stone.

Deep cuts send light back up. Shallow ones let it fall through the bottom, and the paper says so.
